I have spent years refining my craft and finding the right amount of time needed to have a successful session. Most importantly, the way I have structured my session lengths, it helps manage your expectations and prevents you from being disappointed.
All babies, as well as children and adults, are super smiley and happy outgoing people, but in their own environments and in the comfort of their own home.
Some people (of all ages) may need time to get comfortable and come out of their shell to let their happiness shine through. Those individuals will need more time than the minimum time I recommend. We capture what is in front of us. We can try to pull you out of your shell, but if you schedule a 15 minute session and it takes you the entire time to warm up to me, 15 minutes was not the appropriate amount of time. We may not be able to extend your session the day of, because we schedule multiple sessions in one day.
Engagement and couples sessions are something that you and your significant other need to discuss when it comes to pictures. Pinterest is misleading sometimes when a client finds a bunch of candid love pictures. If the fellas need a beer on the way to the session to loosen up, I will not be against that! Sometimes we need liquid courage or a puff and that's ok! I would love to be a fly on the wall, capturing such intimate moments, but I can only capture what is in front of me :)
